Big Weekend on the Baby Front

This weekend was full of fun for our new baby. We are still waiting to hear from Gladney about a referral. In the meantime, we had a garage sale this weekend down in Sugar Land. With Mom, Monica and my powers combined we had enough "treasures" to bring in a little over $700.00. Nice. Not to mention that the catchphrase of the day was "One dollar!" Seriously, almost everything was "ONE DOLLAR"!!

The garage sale was Saturday and here are some pictures to prove that I was up and showered by 4:45, we had mountains of stuff and people bought our stuff....

Then on Sunday my sister hosted a super-fun baby shower for me at Lupe Torilla. It was so fun to see everyone!!! We got a lot of educational toys, mostly because we don't know how old or big Deacon is yet, so that made it hard to buy cute clothes or things like that. I'll post those pics later when I get the CD of them.

Still working on training and I just made an appointment for us at Travel Health Services for all of our shots. What shots are we talking about? Well, off the top of my head I think we need: Yellow Fever, Hep A and B, Typhoid, Menengitis, Malaria, Polio booster, and maybe some others I can't remember now. I don't mind shots. I don't love them, but I won't pass out from the fear.

Ok, that's about all happening right now.

I love the book Mufara's beautiful daughters. I use it in my class every year.
